Agriculture is the main source of living for the people of Arunachal Pradesh. Majority of people in the state are dependent on agriculture and Jhum cultivation is the main occupation of the farmers. Rice is the chief food crop in Arunachal Pradesh. Some other major crops cultivated in the state are millet, wheat, pulses, potatoes, sugarcane, oilseeds, and maize. The agriculture in Arunachal Pradesh also comprise of production of few endemic vegetables and fruits.
